Circle IT to undertake major project for University of Wales Trinity Saint David

University of Wales Trinity Saint David (UWTSD) has appointed Circle IT to undertake a major IT project for the university. The upgrade will create a modern, energy efficient network infrastructure to improve the overall use of technology for students, staff and visitors at each of the university’s campuses.

As part of the project, the company will provide the new IT infrastructure for the university’s new £300m SA1 Swansea Waterfront development as well as working on its wider Network Blueprint.

Circle IT is a leading provider of IT infrastructure, networking, managed services and strategic consultancy with strong expertise in the education sector with clients including Oxford University, The University of Dundee and Cardiff Metropolitan University. The large scale technically complex solutions that they provide are ideal for the HE sector due to complex needs and large sprawling campuses.

UWTSD’s Executive Head of Information Technology & Systems, James Cale said: “We are delighted to be working with Circle IT on what is a major IT project for the University. This project will not only have a positive impact on our students’ experience but also on our staff and visitors. Information Technology plays a significant role in the education sector and by investing in this key project, the University has shown the high importance placed on Student experience at UWTSD.
