Purchase Ledger Assistant (6 month contract)

We have an exciting opportunity for a diligent and organised Finance Professional to join us on a 6 month fixed term contract as a Purchase Ledger Assistant

Circle IT is a leading and award winning IT solution provider that specialise in providing IT support and services (include network instillations, IT infrastructure, IT security, strategic consultancy and managed IT support) to a range of business nationally, from SME’s through to large multi-site organisations. Working in a dynamic, busy and agile working environment, we ensure quality is at the heart of our services and projects.

The successful candidate will be working as part of our Finance team, and will be responsible for managing the company's full end to end purchase ledger activity and proces.  Activity will include matching invoices to purchase orders, posting supplier invoices, statement recs, liaising with suppliers, work with payment proposals, payment runs and bank recs.   The role has a firm purchase ledger, customer service and administration focus and forms a significant part in supporting the company’s wider Finance and Administration team and functions.     

Salary: £20-21k, pro rata, depending on experience

Qualifications, experience and Skills required

  • Previously worked in Purchase Ledger role, within a busy office environment,
  • Firm background and experience of working and managing a company’s purchase ledger activity 
  • Full UK Drivers Licence (our fleet insurance requires that drivers are aged at least 21).  
  • Strong numeracy skills 
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy skills 
  • IT Literate, and experience of using internal IT system previously
  • Experience of using Sage Line 50 (or similar)
  • Knowledge of employee expenses and benefits (desirable)
  • Excellent skillset and confident with using Microsoft Excel & Word
  • Able to liaise confidently and politely with customers, suppliers and other company stakeholders  
  • Approach- Professional, organised, flexible and self-motivated.  
  • Strong organisational, efficiency and multi-tasking skills 
  • Strong communication skills (written and oral)
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong team work ethic
