Circle IT has increased its workforce by 30 per cent after recently acquiring several large contracts – consolidating its position as Wales’s leading information technology company.

Six new technical support staff have been recruited since March, swelling team numbers to 24 at the Cardiff Gate offices.

Established in 2006, Circle IT now has more than 100 clients in the private and public sectors including the Care Council for Wales, Hugh James Solicitors and the National Eisteddfod.

Roger Harry said: "We have grown from a team of just 5 to 24 people in the past two years, and over the same period our annual turnover has increased from £700,000 to over £1.6 million."

He continued: "Our growth has been organic and new contracts have resulted from referrals by existing clients. We have an excellent reputation for delivering effective bespoke services to our clients, managing all their IT systems cost-effectively. Our staff are highly qualified, experienced and knowledgeable and recruited on this basis to ensure that we continue to deliver a high quality service to our customers."

Financial backing has been acquired from the Welsh Assembly Government to facilitate further business growth and an additional 16 staff are expected to be recruited over the next three years.
