Buyer / Procurement Coordinator (6 month Fixed Term Contract)

Looking for the ideal candidate to start middle November 2017 at the latest

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly organised administrator or coordinator to join our team on a 6 month fixed term contract (maternity cover) as a Buyer/Procurement Coordinator. 

Reporting to the Financial Controller, the successful candidate will play an integral part in the company’s IT equipment purchasing/reselling processes and will work closely with other members of the Circle IT team to coordinate and order IT equipment that’s of quality, cost and specification to our customers (internal and external). The Buyer/Procurement coordinator is responsible for liaising with our suppliers on our preferred suppliers list (PSL), for providing timely, precise quotes and placing orders and keeping the CRM system up to date and accurate at all times.  

The ideal candidate will possess strong negotiation, analytical and prioritisation skills and will have had previous experience of working with company suppliers and various stakeholders from a previous role. Strong administration/coordination and IT literacy skills are a key requirement for the role as is experience of working to tight deadlines and within a fast paced working environment previously. 

Salary: £20-21k, pro rata, depending on experience

Qualifications, experience and Skills required

  • Experience of working in an administrative or coordinator role previously
  • Strong negotiation, and prioritisation skills
  • Proven track record of working with company suppliers and various stakeholders- strong supplier and stakeholder management skills
  • Computer literate and demonstrable experience of using Microsoft Office software and internal IT business systems/CRMs
  • Familiar with buyer purchasing processes (desirable)Previous experience of working at an IT Solutions company or similar (desirable)
  • Previous experience of working with Autotask (desirable)
  • Comfortable in pushing back and to think outside of the box
  • Strong interpersonal and influencing skills
  • Demonstrable experience of building positive and strong working relationships, rapport with stakeholders of all levels (internal & external)
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Highly organised, able to prioritise own workload and meet deadlines
  • An eye for detail and strong analytical skills
  • Able to work under own initiative
  • Strong negotiation, and prioritisation skills
  • Approach- Proactive, dynamic, agile/flexible, analytical, professional and confident
